How we work

Discover. Propose. Deliver. Review.

A simple four-stage process, with the commercial terms agreed before any work begins.

01

Discover

We start by understanding your organisation and what you want to achieve. We look at the assets you already have (your venue, facilities, members, supporters and relationships), what has worked before, and where the commercial opportunities are.

02

Propose

We set out the event or programme, the budget, timings and responsibilities, and the commercial structure: who covers which costs, how ticket and sponsorship income is shared, and where the financial risk sits. Nothing goes ahead until it is agreed.

03

Deliver

We manage the agreed work: booking speakers, entertainers and suppliers; coordinating venue, catering and staffing; running ticketing, marketing and promotion; securing sponsors; and coordinating everything on the day.

04

Review

After each event we report on attendance, income, costs and feedback. We review the financial results with you and agree what to repeat, improve or try next.

Ways to work with us

Flexible arrangements.

Option 1

Fee per event

A fixed fee agreed for the planning, promotion or management of an individual event. Suitable if you need help with a specific event or want to trial working with us.

Option 2

Monthly retainer

An agreed monthly fee for ongoing event development, management and commercial support. Suitable for clubs, venues and organisations that want a regular events programme without building an in-house events department.

Partnership

Mergehouse-promoted events

We also develop and promote our own events with suitable venues, commercial partners and specialist organisers. These are negotiated separately and are not normally covered by a client management fee.

Clear commercial terms

Event budgets, supplier costs, ticket income, sponsorship income, any profit-sharing arrangements and financial risk are agreed in advance for each project or partnership. Mergehouse does not automatically fund event costs or guarantee event profitability, so you'll know exactly where you stand before anything is committed.
